Blog expanded with new guides and dedicated author team
We launched a full editorial team and expanded the ListGarum blog with practical guides covering vehicles, property, electronics, jobs, and seller tips. Articles are now written by named writers with real Nepal marketplace experience, and every post is reviewed before going live.
Performance improvements and faster listing search
We rolled out backend query optimisation across the listing search engine, reducing average search response times by 40%. Category pages now load significantly faster on mobile connections, and listing thumbnails are served through a new image CDN for instant loading.
Safe meetup locations expanded to 5 new cities
Our curated safe meetup location database now covers Butwal, Dharan, Hetauda, Itahari, and Nepalgunj - bringing the total to over 15 cities across Nepal. Every listing detail page shows the nearest verified public spots (banks, police stations, shopping centres) matched to the seller's city.
AI scam detector accuracy improved, now covers message analysis
We retrained our fraud detection model with a larger dataset of Nepal-specific scam patterns. The detector now analyses in-app messages in real time, flagging advance payment requests, suspicious links, and off-platform contact requests before they reach the recipient.
eSewa payment integration upgraded to v2
We migrated our eSewa integration to the ePay v2 API with HMAC-SHA256 signature verification. Boost payments are now more reliable, refunds process faster, and the payment flow works seamlessly on both mobile and desktop. Khalti integration is in progress for a future release.
Image watermarking added to all uploaded listing photos
All photos uploaded to listings are now automatically watermarked with the ListGarum logo in a corner overlay. This protects sellers from having their images copied and reused in fraudulent listings on other platforms. Watermarks are applied at upload time and cannot be removed by other users.
Price offer system launched
Buyers can now submit a formal price offer on any listing directly through the platform. Sellers receive a notification and can accept, decline, or counter with a different price. All offers and counter-offers are tracked in the dashboard under My Offers. This replaces informal price negotiation in the chat.
ListGarum launched with AI listing assistant and natural language search
ListGarum went live as Nepal's first free classifieds platform with built-in AI tools. The AI listing assistant generates full descriptions from a title and category in seconds. Natural language search lets buyers describe what they want in plain words rather than using filter dropdowns. The AI scam detector runs on every listing at submission.
