How long does my listing stay live?
Listings are active for 30 days. You'll receive an email reminder before expiry and can relist with one click from your dashboard.
How do I contact a seller?
Click the "Message Seller" button on any listing to send a secure in-app message. You can also make a price offer directly from the listing page.
Can I edit my listing after posting?
Yes. Log in, go to your Dashboard → My Ads, and click Edit on any active listing. You can update all fields including photos.

A closer look at the AI features
AI Listing Description Generator
Writing a good listing description is harder than it sounds. You need to explain what the item is, what condition it is in, what makes it worth buying, and what a buyer should know before contacting you. Most people either write too little or spend too long trying to make it sound right.
The AI listing generator on ListGarum does this automatically. You enter a title like "Yamaha FZ-S 2021 model, blue" and pick the category "Cars and Vehicles". The AI then writes a complete description covering engine specs, condition details, typical use cases, and what to check during inspection. The whole process takes about three seconds. You can keep the text as written, edit any part of it, or write your own description from scratch. Most sellers find the AI gets it roughly right and just clean up a word or two.
This feature is especially useful for sellers who are not confident writers or who are listing in English but speak Nepali as their first language. The AI produces clear, natural-sounding text every time.
Natural Language Search
Standard search boxes only work if you type the right keywords. If you type the wrong word, or the seller used a different phrase, you miss the listing entirely. Natural language search works differently. You describe what you want in plain words, the same way you would say it to a friend, and the AI figures out what you are looking for.
For example, you could type "Honda motorbike second hand not too old in Lalitpur" and the AI will extract the key details: Honda, motorbike, used condition, recent year, and Lalitpur as the location. It then searches the database with all of those filters applied at once, even though you never touched a single filter dropdown. You can also describe things by what they do rather than what they are called, which is useful when you do not know the exact product name.
This makes finding things faster, especially on a phone where typing into multiple small filter fields is frustrating. Just describe it once and the AI does the rest.
AI Scam Detector
Online classifieds attract scammers. Common scams in Nepal include fake sellers posting listings for items they do not own, overseas buyer scams, requests for advance payment before viewing, and listings with stolen photos copied from other websites. ListGarum runs automatic checks on every listing before it goes live and on every message sent through the platform.
The scam detector looks for specific patterns that real scams share. These include prices that are 40% or more below the typical market value for that item category, phone numbers or bank account details in the listing text, references to shipping fees or PayPal payments (which are not used for local transactions in Nepal), and descriptions that match known scam templates. If the AI detects any of these signals, the listing is either held for manual review or shown with a visible warning banner so buyers can make an informed decision.
This protection runs completely in the background. Genuine sellers never notice it. Buyers see a clean, trusted marketplace. The system gets updated regularly as new scam patterns are identified.
Safe meetup locations and buyer tips
The most important safety rule for any in-person transaction from an online classifieds site is to always meet in a busy public place. Never agree to meet at a private home - yours or the other person's - for a first meeting. The list includes police station lobbies, bank branches, major shopping malls, bus stations, and hospital entrances across Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lalitpur, Bharatpur, Birgunj, and other cities in Nepal. These are places with plenty of foot traffic, security cameras, and staff on hand. Meeting at a spot like this protects both the buyer and the seller.
A few other things to keep in mind when meeting: bring a friend if you can, especially for high-value items. Test the item before paying - for electronics, check that it powers on, that all buttons work, and that there are no cracks or faults not shown in the photos. For vehicles, ask to see the bluebook and check the engine number matches. Always pay in cash and count it in front of the seller. Do not transfer money via mobile banking before seeing the item in person.
If something feels wrong during the process - if the seller wants to meet somewhere unusual, asks for a deposit before meeting, or changes the agreed price at the last minute - trust your instincts and walk away.
